Meetings
Meetings for CMAIP are currently "on-hold" until there is sufficient interest to conduct them. In the meantime the "organization" will remain active as an online community.
Once there has been sufficient amount of interest it will be our intention to hold monthly meetings. At each of these there will be a presentation on a topic that will be of interest to Information Professionals. If you are an expert in a given topic area we would love to hear from you and discuss the possibility of you giving a presentation! Possible topics include but are not limited to; help desk technology, presentations on new desktop software, trends in computer security, business reporting (ie business intelligence), use of OpenSource software, E-Commerce/E-Marketing/E-Learning, system administration, development methodologies and the list goes on (since IT is a broad and diverse field its likely the topics will be as well).
We are aiming to provide a basic framework but really do desire that the actual decisions be driven by the membership (once we are established). The goal is to help other others in the profession expand their knowledge of whats "out there" and to have a forum to share our problems/challanges in hopes of finding others who have already faced them.
