Why Join?

This organization is being formed to assist Information Professionals in further developing their careers via;

• Networking - Nearly 70% of jobs are filled without any sort of advertising and as high as 90% of jobs are filled in part because of networking.
• Opportunities to share ideas
• Opportunities to share perspectives on new developing technologies. Technology is progressing at a rapid rate, its difficult to keep current. Hear from others how technologies work in practice!
• Opportunities for educational training (news letters, presentations, seminars, etc)
• Establishing or communicating the existence of special interests groups. There do currently exist groups within Central Minnesota that either service specific cities or topic areas and others simply do not know about them. There also exist a need for additional special interest groups but there does not exist a forum for people to form these groups. We will be that forum.
